Hire me for the day and I can be your private walking leader. Are you on holiday in the South Yorkshire or Derbyshire area with friends and family and want to be shown a glimpse of what the Peak District has to offer? From hills and moors to reservoirs, woodlands, farmland and gorges. 

 You may be planning on scaling the heights of Kilimanjaro, the Inca Trail or Everest Base Camp or hoping to enjoy long Alpine walks in the summer? I can give you advice before your trip and leading up to a trek-training walk and prepare training walks for you.

How about a long distance walk or peak-bagging challenge with your friends, family or colleagues?  

  • Walk a marathon (26.2 miles) or a half marathon (13.1 miles) 
  • Edale Skyline Challenge 
  • 10 km Peak Challenge 
  • 1,000 m ascent challenge 
  • 30,000 step challenge 

If you hire me as a private walking leader for the day, I can cater for all terrain goals, all abilities and any personal requirements that you may have. Avoid the hassles of route planning and the troubles of navigating by hiring me to do that for you. 

 Prices: £160–200 for a full day (for a group) or £32 each (minimum of 5 people)

Kit List Essentials

  • Sturdy walking boots and socks

  • Comfortable clothing (I would not recommend jeans or cotton-based t-shirts)

  • Lunch, snacks and liquids (preferably water)

  • Spare warm layer

  • Waterproof jacket

  • Personal first aid kit including any medication that you require

  • Rucksack (25-35 litre capacity)

  • Cash (for car parking, ice cream etc.)

  • Good sense of humour!

Kit List Extras (depending on season and weather)

  • Walking poles – especially useful across uneven or boggy ground and streams

  • Waterproof trousers

  • Gaitors

  • Flask

  • Warm hat, gloves, buff/scarf

  • Something to keep things dry in your rucksack if it doesn’t have its own cover.

  • Sun cream with a high SPF

  • Sun hat/sunglasses
